FUTURE APPLICATIONS OF PROJECT
This project was a success in a lot of ways. Firstly, this was a proof of concept that such an ambitious design could be created and implemented in such a short period of time. It is key to make note of the quick timeline moving forward and how everyone’s collaboration and effort were instrumental to the success of this project. Secondly, it had a purpose. Not only was it a fascinating spectacle of design challenges, people were engaged with the space and it made them think. Guests had personal takeaways from this exhibit which means we reached our goal.
Being a thoughtful design with personal takeaways, it can be applied to a variety of places moving forward. It can be implemented as an exhibit in museums who want to highlight the effects of human processes on the ocean. At the same time it can also be implemented in an art exhibit that wants to showcase the art and have a driving purpose too. The versatility of the project is a definite strength and Recover team would be very interested in revisiting this design in the future.
